The winners of the Oregon Book Awards will be announced Monday night. Litarary Arts, which puts on the awards, released a list of 33 finalists in January. The list included many authors featured on Think Out Loud.
The awards will feature its first-ever prize for graphic literature. The roster of finalists showcases Portland's strong graphic publishing scene, with three of the nominees coming from Oregon publishers.
There was a solid showing of first-time novelists, with Dan DeWeese, Brian Doyle, and Vanessa Veselka all earning nominations for their debuts.
